USAID and UNESWA support opening of first National Wildlife Laboratory to combat Wildlife Crime in Eswatini
24 May 2023, Kwaluseni Eswatini. It is an exciting time for the wildlife and livestock sector in the country as the University of Eswatini (UNESWA) hosts the first national wildlife laboratory in the country.
ESCCOM donates specialised equipment for three UNESWA visually impaired students
KWALUSENI – This morning, Monday 19.06.2023 at the Main Conference Room, Kwaluseni Campus, ESCCOM through the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Mvilawemphi Dlamini donated specialised laptops to three visually impaired students of the University of Eswatini, Institute of Distance Education (IDE).

MBABANE – The Eswatini Sugar Association (ESA), in collaboration with the University of Eswatini’s (UNESWA) Eswatini Institute for Research in Traditional Medicine, Medicinal and Indigenous Food Plants (EIRMIP), held the ESA/EIRMIP RESEARCH GRANT AWARD CEREMONY on Monday, 13 February 2023 at the ESA Headquarters.
UNESWA Students travel to India to compete at UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon
KWALUSENI – The University of Eswatini hosted a Press Briefing on Thursday 17 November 2022 to announce that 12 students would travel to India to compete at the UNESCO-India-Africa Hackathon to be held in Uttah Pradesh. The Eswatini students had been sponsored by the India High Commission in Eswatini, UNESCO, the Indonesian Consulate in Eswatini, UNESWA Innovation Centre and the UNESWA Centre for Sustainable Energy Research.

KWALUSENI – The High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania accredited in Mozambique, Madagascar and the Kingdom of Eswatini, CGP (Ret.) Phaustine Martin Kasike paid a courtesy call to the University of Eswatini Vice Chancellor, Professor Justice Thwala on Friday 11 November 2022.
UNESWA biologists describe a new bat species, this time in Eswatini!
SUNDAY – 9th of October, 2022 Eswatini, Africa – A new study recently published in the scientific journal the Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society, authored by Prof. Peter John Taylor from the Department of Zoology and Entomology, University of the Free State together with colleagues from the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Eswatini (UNESWA): Prof. Ara Monadjem, Mr. Mnqobi Lifa Mamba, and Ms. Siphesihle Magagula and other international collaborators have described a new species of bat.

UNESWA signs Memorandum of Agreement with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office and the World Food Programme
MBABANE – On Thursday 08 September 2022 at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, UNESWA signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office (DPMO) and the World Food Programme (WFP) aimed at enhancing work and investment in resilience building for the vulnerable population of the Kingdom.

KWALUSENI – On Tuesday 27 September 2022 at the University of Eswatini, Main Conference Room, Kwaluseni Campus, Mnyatsi-Nhleko Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, Swaziland Structural Engineers, and UNESWA signed an agreement for the resuscitation of the Kwaluseni & Mbabane Building projects, supported by the Motsepe Foundation.
