Qualification and Experience:
- A Master’s Degree in Midwifery Science or equivalent.
- Specialty in Midwifery Education will be an added advantage.
- A PhD in Midwifery Science or equivalent will be an added advantage.
- At least five (5) years Clinical working experience in a Midwifery setting.
- Evidence of conducting research, including publication in at least one (1) journal article in a referred journal/conference presentation or equivalent.
- At least one (1) semester teaching experience at Tertiary level will be an added advantage.
- To teach courses in Midwifery Science;
- To supervise students’ research, Clinical practicum and field attachments;
- To conduct research in the discipline;
- To engage in Community Service;
- To undertake Consultancy Assignments as and when necessary; and
- To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
Local Candidates
Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.
Expatriate Candidates
Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
