  • Report To: HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

Qualification and Experience:
  • A PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Extensive research as attested by publications.
  • Must already be at the rank applying for.
Duties:
  1. To teach Undergraduate Electrical Engineering courses including but not limited to:

– Electrical Machines;

– Power Systems; and

– Power Electronics.

  1. To supervise Undergraduate student’s research projects;
  2. To conduct research in the discipline;
  3. To provide academic and administrative guidance to the Department;
  4. To develop and maintain links with industry;
  5.      To undertake Administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department;
  6.         To undertake Consultancy Assignments as and when necessary; and
  7. To engage in Community Service.
Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment/Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Initial Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment/Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
