Qualification and Experience:

• PhD in Organic Chemistry/Natural Products/Medicinal Chemistry.
• University teaching experience.
• Evidence of extensive research as attested by publications.

Duties:

1. To teach Organic Chemistry at Postgraduate and undergraduate levels;
2. To supervise Postgraduate and Undergraduate students’ research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To help strengthen the Medical/Natural Products MSc programme;
5. To undertake Administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department;  and

6. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms:

 

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
