Qualification and Experience:

 

• A PhD in Agronomy majoring in Weed Science.
• Postgraduate teaching experience in Weed Science and Crop Physiology.
• Documented evidence of individual and/or collaborative research in Weed Science and Crop Physiology.

 

Duties:

 

1. To teach courses in Crop Physiology and Weed Science;
2. To supervise Postgraduate and Undergraduate students’ research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To undertake Administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department;
5. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms:

 

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
