Qualification and Experience:

• A PhD in Mathematics with specialization in Algebra/ Analysis/ Combinatorics/ Functional Analysis/ Graph Theory/Mathematical Logic & Foundations/Number theory or any other related fields.
• Successful supervision of Postgraduate students.
• Evidence of teaching at tertiary level and proven record of research scholarship will be an added advantage.

Duties:

1. To teach Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses in Pure Mathematics;
2. To supervise Postgraduate and Undergraduate students’ research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To undertake Administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department; and
5. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
