Qualification and Experience:

• A PhD with specialization in Family Nurse Practice.
• Teaching experience at University level will be an added advantage.

Duties:

1. To teach courses in Family Nurse Practice at Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels including but not limited;

– Family Nurse Practice across the life span;

– Advanced Health Assessment;

– Pharmacotherapeutics; and

– Nursing Science and Arts.

2. To supervise students’ research, Clinical practicum and field attachments;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To participate in the development and review of Postgraduate and

Undergraduate curriculum;

5. To participate in developing proposals for submission to external bodies for

funding;

6. To engage in Community Service;

7. To undertake Consultancy Assignments as and when necessary; and
8. To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

 

Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
