Qualification and Experience:

• A PhD in Agricultural Economics or related discipline.
• University teaching and research experience.

Duties:

 

1. To teach Postgraduate and Undergraduate courses including but not limited to:

– Research Methodology;

– Operations Research in Agribusiness Management; and

– Contemporary Issues in Agricultural and Applied Economics.

2. To supervise Postgraduate and Undergraduate students’ research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To provide professional guidance to the Department;
5. To undertake Administrative duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department; and

6. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms:

 

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
