Qualification and Experience:

• At least an MSc in Journalism and Media Studies.
• A B.A. in Journalism and Media Studies.

Duties:

1. To teach courses in Journalism and Mass Communication including but not

limited to;

–  Introduction Broadcasting;

– Development Communication campaigns;

– Reporting for Radio;

– Reporting for TV;

– Documentary production for Radio; and

– Television production.

2. To supervise students’ research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To engage in Community Service;
5. To undertake Consultancy Assignments as and when necessary; and
6. To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
