Qualification and Experience:

 

• A PhD in Public Administration/ Development Studies.
• University teaching and leadership experience.

Duties:

1. To teach Public Administration courses;
2. To supervise students’ research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To mentor junior staff of the Department;
5. To provide leadership in the development of a Postgraduate programme in Public Administration;

6. To undertake Administrative duties as assigned by the Head of Department; and
7. To engage in Community Service.

Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
