Qualification and Experience:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, preferably a PhD.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
• At least two (2) years teaching experience at University level.
• At least two (2) publications in referred journals and books.

Duties:

1. To teach courses in Social Work;
2. To supervise students’ research and fieldwork projects;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To engage in Community Service;
5. To undertake Consultancy Assignments as and when necessary; and
6. To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
