Qualification and Experience:

• A PhD in Inorganic Chemistry or related field.
• Extensive relevant publications in the field.

Duties:

1. To teach courses in Inorganic Chemistry at Postgraduate and Undergraduate levels;
2. To supervise Postgraduate and Undergraduate research;
3. To conduct research in the discipline;
4. To engage in Community Service;
5. To assist strengthen the Analytical/Environmental MSc Programme;
6. To undertake Consultancy Assignments as and when necessary; and
7. To perform any other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

 

Appointment Terms:

Local Candidates

Permanent and Pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing allowance and Medical Aid contribution.

Expatriate Candidates

Two-year contract with a possibility for renewal by mutual consent subject to satisfactory performance plus Gratuity, 10% Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing/Housing Allowance, Medical Aid contribution and relocation expenses.
